Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), has revealed that the team has gathered substantial evidence of misappropriated state assets by officials of the previous Akufo-Addo administration.
Mr. Ablakwa announced that the evidence would soon be submitted to President John Dramani Mahama for further action.
The ORAL team, established by President Mahama, includes notable members such as Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye, Mr. Martin Kpebu, Mr. Raymond Archer, and Mr. Daniel Domelevo. Their mandate is to investigate and document cases of state capture and asset misappropriation.
Speaking to the media in the Eastern Region, the North Tongu MP expressed confidence in the team’s progress, describing their work as effective and reaffirming their commitment to ensuring accountability.
President Mahama has clarified that the Operation Recover All Loot initiative is not a witch hunt but a focused effort to address corruption and safeguard public assets.
He emphasized that the team’s role is limited to evidence gathering, which will be handed over to relevant state institutions for further investigations and prosecution. The initiative is not intended to replace or undermine the work of established agencies tasked with handling criminal investigations and prosecutions.
