The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the new logo and trophy for the upcoming TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

This highly anticipated tournament, celebrating homegrown football talent across Africa, will mark the first time in CHAN history that three nations jointly host the event.

However, CAF has announced a significant change to the tournament’s schedule. Originally planned for 2024, CHAN has been rescheduled to August 2025.

The decision to postpone the tournament reflects CAF’s commitment to ensuring all logistical and infrastructural preparations are completed to deliver a world-class competition.

In an official statement, CAF reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high standards for CHAN and expressed confidence that the extended timeline will allow Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda to finalize all necessary arrangements.

The unveiling of the logo and trophy signifies progress and highlights CAF’s determination to elevate African football on the global stage.

Fans and stakeholders eagerly await one of Africa’s premier football competitions, with the draw for the TotalEnergies CHAN 2024 set to take place in Nairobi on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM Nairobi time.

CAF has also assured that an announcement will be made soon regarding the exact date in August 2025 when the tournament will kick off.
