The team also includes Desmond Ofei and John Paintsil as assistant coaches, Fatawu Dauda as goalkeeper trainer, and Winfried Anton Schafer as technical advisor. He urged the Minister for Youth and Sports to support the team and promote collaboration.

Expressing confidence in the newly appointed technical team, he assured Ghanaians of their ability to deliver positive results.

Also present at the meeting were Coach Otto Addo, Desmond Ofei, and Winfried Schafer, the newly appointed GFA Director of Football and Black Stars Technical Advisor. President Simeon-Okraku reiterated the GFA’s commitment to maintaining strong cooperation with the government to further develop football in Ghana.

Ghana is set to host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025, before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on Monday, March 24, 2025.

The Black Stars currently sit in second place in their World Cup qualification group, tied on nine points with group leaders Comoros but trailing on goal difference.
