
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, met with former Inspectors-General of Police on April 2, 2025, at the National Police Headquarters in Accra. The meeting aimed to seek their counsel, share experiences, and enhance the administrative and operational effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service.
The gathering also sought to strengthen collaboration between the current and past leadership of the Police Service. Attendees included former IGPs: Mr. C.K. Dewornu, Mr. Ernest Owusu Poku, Nana Owusu-Nsiah, Mr. Patrick Acheampong, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills-Robertson, Dr. John Kudalor, Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, and Mr. James Oppong Boanuh.
Key discussions focused on personnel welfare, crime-fighting strategies nationwide, stakeholder engagements, ongoing reforms within the Police Service, and broader security, law, and order concerns in the country.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to holding regular engagements to support the continued growth and development of the Ghana Police Service. Also present at the meeting were members of the Police Management Board (POMAB).
