Noah Baffoe Scores as Lee Man Beat Shatin 3–0 to Stay Top

Noah Baffoe

Ghanaian striker Noah Baffoe continued his impressive form in Hong Kong as Lee Man FC recorded a comfortable 3–0 victory over newly promoted Shatin SA in the Hong Kong Premier League.

Baffoe scored the third goal of the match to complete a dominant performance from Lee Man at Mong Kok Stadium on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The victory gave Lee Man six points from their opening two matches and kept them at the top of the league table.

Lee Man Take Early Control

Lee Man began the match aggressively, pressing Shatin high up the pitch and forcing the visitors into several defensive errors.

Their early pressure produced the opening goal in the 15th minute. Dostonbek Tursunov met a free-kick delivery at the far post and headed the ball into the net.

Five minutes later, Lee Man doubled their advantage after Shatin failed to clear the danger around their penalty area. Elian Villalobos collected the loose ball and struck a powerful left-footed effort from outside the box.

The two early goals allowed Lee Man to control possession and dictate the pace of the contest for the remainder of the first half.

Shatin attempted to reorganise defensively but struggled to create meaningful opportunities against a disciplined Lee Man backline.

Baffoe Seals Victory

Baffoe put the result beyond doubt in the 55th minute following another well-constructed Lee Man attack.

Ryoya Tachibana advanced down the left flank before delivering a low cross into the penalty area. Baffoe timed his movement well and converted from close range to make it 3–0.

The 33-year-old remained a constant threat to the Shatin defence through his positioning, movement and physical presence in the attacking third.

His goal underlined the qualities that have made him one of the Hong Kong Premier League’s most prolific forwards in recent seasons.

Lee Man Preserve Clean Sheet

Lee Man maintained their defensive concentration after scoring the third goal and prevented Shatin from finding a route back into the contest.

The visitors showed determination but were unable to create enough clear opportunities to trouble goalkeeper Chan Ka-ho.

Lee Man eventually completed the match with a clean sheet, adding another convincing result to their strong opening to the 2026/27 league season.

The match attracted 4,592 spectators, the highest attendance recorded during the opening weeks of the campaign and the first Hong Kong Premier League crowd exceeding 4,000 in several seasons.

The Hong Kong Football Association confirmed Lee Man’s 3–0 victory, while Dostonbek Tursunov, Elian Villalobos and Baffoe were the goalscorers.

For Baffoe, the strike represented another important contribution as Lee Man pursue the Hong Kong Premier League title and other domestic honours.
