The 2023 Jubilee House Iftar saw notable figures from diverse religious backgrounds in attendance.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia led the government guest on behalf of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Also present were Ministers of State, senior officials at the Presidency, Members of Parliament, Members of the Council of State, the Diplomatic Corps, and members of the clergy representing the Christian community.

The Iftar is a traditional evening meal held during Ramadan to break the fast and bring together individuals, families, and communities. Many countries hold Iftars at their seats of government during Ramadan. The Jubilee House Iftar was initiated by the Akufo-Addo government in 2017 and has since been held annually, except in 2020, due to Covid-19 restrictions.

During the event, Vice President Bawumia emphasized the significance of the Iftar as a means of engaging with religious groups for harmony. He also reflected on the essence of unity and togetherness during the month of Ramadan.

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and Apostle Dr. Stephen Kwame Ntow Amoani, a former Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church International, offered separate prayers for the country.

They commended the leadership provided by Dr. Bawumia and the National Chief Imam in fostering harmonious relations between Muslims and Christians in the country.
