The Director of Protocol and Logistics for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ludwig Hlordze, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s chances of winning the upcoming Akwatia by-election, pointing to the party’s “Resetting the Agenda” strategy as a key driver of success.

Speaking to the media after the vetting process in Koforidua, Hlordze emphasized that the NDC’s renewed focus on reconnecting with constituents and addressing their most urgent needs positions the party well for victory.

“We believe our message resonates with the people of Akwatia. With the ‘Resetting the Agenda’ strategy, we are confident of securing a win,” he stated.

The NDC vetted three aspirants seeking the party’s parliamentary nomination for the Akwatia constituency ahead of the September 2 by-election. The contenders include Henry Yiadom Boakye (Okoyo), a former MP and 2024 parliamentary candidate; Bernard Bediako Baidoo, a legal practitioner; and Erasmus Koney Ali (Asanka).

All three aspirants expressed optimism about the NDC’s prospects in the by-election, each pledging to lead a strong campaign if given the mandate.
