GCB Bank Hosts Seminar to Strengthen Ghana–Asia Investment Ties

GCB Bank PLC has brought together business leaders, prospective investors and investment institutions to explore opportunities for stronger trade and investment links between Ghana and Asia.

The GCB Afro-Asia Investor Seminar 2026, held under the theme “Bridging Markets, Building Futures,” focused on helping investors understand Ghana’s business environment and identify potential local partnerships.

Discussions covered opportunities in mining, manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure and pharmaceuticals, with participants examining areas where investment could support business expansion and cross-border trade.

Representatives from the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority and the Ghana Free Zones Authority provided guidance on market entry requirements, regulatory developments and incentives available to businesses operating under the Free Zones Scheme.

Their contributions addressed practical considerations for prospective investors, including the requirements for establishing operations and accessing applicable tax incentives.

Aurelia Baaba Odame, Head of SOE and Afro-Asia Banking at GCB Bank, highlighted the bank’s role in helping foreign businesses navigate Ghana’s regulatory environment.

She said GCB’s local market knowledge and nationwide presence positioned it to support investors as they assess opportunities and establish operations in the country.

The seminar forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to serve businesses trading between Ghana and Asian markets through its dedicated Afro-Asia Banking department, which provides financial solutions tailored to their needs.
