Miss Ghana

Preparations are underway for the 69th edition of the Miss Ghana pageant, with auditions for Miss Ghana 2026 officially scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Organized by Exclusive Events Ghana, the competition is inviting young, confident, and socially conscious Ghanaian women from across the country to compete for one of the nation’s most prestigious crowns. The first round of auditions will take place at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra, beginning at 8:00 a.m., and will serve as the primary selection event for candidates from the southern zone.

Eligibility Requirements for Applicants

Organizers have outlined a set of criteria that prospective contestants must meet to participate in the preliminary auditions.

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 26 and be Ghanaian citizens by birth or naturalization. Candidates are also required to possess at least a Senior High School certificate, although individuals with tertiary education are encouraged to apply.

Those attending the auditions must present a valid national identification document, such as a Ghana Card or passport, along with recent photographs and a non-refundable registration fee of GH₵200.

Continuing the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ Tradition

The 2026 edition of the pageant will once again be guided by its longstanding “Beauty with a Purpose” philosophy, emphasizing leadership, intelligence, communication skills, and community service alongside physical appearance.

According to the organizers, contestants will be assessed not only on their stage presence but also on their ability to champion meaningful social causes and contribute to national development initiatives.

The eventual winner is expected to work closely with the Miss Ghana Foundation, leading projects focused on issues such as child welfare, education, environmental sanitation, and other humanitarian initiatives during her reign.

Nationwide Search for Talent

To ensure representation from across Ghana’s 16 regions, the audition process has been structured into zonal screenings.

The June 27 event in Accra will cater primarily to applicants from the Greater Accra, Volta, Eastern, Oti, and Central regions.

Organizers have indicated that additional screening exercises, including physical and virtual sessions for contestants in the middle and northern belts of the country, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Planned locations are anticipated to include Kumasi and Tamale, allowing aspiring participants from other regions to compete for a place in the national pageant.

As Miss Ghana celebrates nearly seven decades of history, the 2026 edition aims to continue its legacy of identifying ambassadors who combine grace, intellect, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
