Effective January 1, 2024, certain Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have implemented a reduction in the prices of petroleum products at fuel stations.
Star Oil has taken the initiative by offering a liter of petrol at GH¢11.24, down from GH¢12.69, and a liter of diesel at GH¢11.24, reduced from GH¢11.69.
Anticipated within the next few hours is a similar adjustment in fuel prices by other prominent Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
Earlier indications from several OMCs suggested that the decision to decrease rates was influenced by the stability of the cedi in the preceding two weeks and the consistent decline in prices of refined petroleum products in the international market.
