GoldBod Suspends Evanex Gold Enterprise’s License Over Illegal Pricing
The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the operating license of Evanex Gold Enterprise, a Tier 2 gold buyer, with immediate effect.
In a statement issued by its Compliance Directorate on Thursday, August 28, GoldBod explained that the suspension follows investigative findings that the company was involved in illegal gold pricing, in violation of its licensing terms and conditions.
“All licensed traders, miners, and the general public are hereby advised to desist from trading or engaging in any gold transaction with Evanex Gold Enterprise forthwith,” the statement warned.
GoldBod reaffirmed its commitment to upholding transparency and accountability in the gold trading sector, stressing that it will continue to strictly enforce industry regulations to protect the integrity of the market.
