The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA) has issued a formal clarification regarding inconsistencies in how it is referenced in the media and public discourse.
In a statement issued by the Head of Public Relations, Mabel Delassie Awuku, the Ministry noted that it has observed various names being used incorrectly in recent publications and discussions.
“We wish to emphasize that the official and legally recognized name of the Ministry is the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA),” the statement said.
The Ministry explained that the name reflects its expanded mandate, which integrates the creative arts as a strategic pillar of Ghana’s tourism and cultural development agenda.
Ms. Awuku urged all media outlets, institutions, and members of the public to take note of this clarification and to use the official name in all references and communications.
MoTCCA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Ghana’s vibrant tourism sector, preserving its cultural heritage, and supporting the growth of the creative arts industry in alignment with national development goals.
