Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has passed away in London, according to a statement issued by his family and signed by his former media aide, Garba Shehu.
The former leader reportedly died on Sunday afternoon at a clinic in the United Kingdom.
The statement reads:
“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un. The family of the former president has announced the passing of Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him into Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin.”
