American Missionary Facing Haiti Child Sexual Abuse

American missionary Maylon Foshee is scheduled to appear before a U.S. federal court on Monday, October 12, 2026, over allegations that he engaged in illicit sexual conduct with minors while working in Haiti.

The 23-year-old from Mansfield, Louisiana, faces a potential prison sentence of up to 30 years if convicted, according to The Haitian Times. The case is before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

Foshee is accused of sexually abusing multiple minors between 2023 and 2026 while working with Agape Ministries in Gonaïves. According to the allegations, the minors included children who lived with him or received financial or educational assistance from him.

The FBI reportedly began investigating in March 2026 after receiving information from humanitarian workers. A criminal complaint was secured on September 22, with charges filed on September 30.

Foshee had developed a substantial social media presence through posts about his missionary activities and his fluency in Haitian Creole. His TikTok account attracted more than 100,000 followers.

The allegations against him have not been proven in court, and he is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty.
