Arizona State University President Michael M. Crow joined Dr. Maxwell Ampong, CEO of Maxwell Investments Group, for a nationally broadcast fireside conversation in Accra, Ghana, as part of the launch of ‘Entrepreneur in You’.
At the heart of the conversation was a shared commitment to expanding access to education and creating pathways for people to translate learning into opportunity.
Through the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative, led by Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, learners around the world can access no-cost, online and self-paced education in entrepreneurship, business, innovation and leadership.
Speaking during the conversation, President Crow underscored the importance of inclusion:
“For us, inclusion is central to our objective. It is absolutely at the heart of everything that we’re doing.”
He also offered a simple challenge to entrepreneurs and learners everywhere:
“You make things happen by doing them, and it’s more important than talking about them.”
That spirit was reflected in the launch itself. Participants from diverse backgrounds who had completed learning through the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative were recognized and presented with copies of their certificates of completion, marking not simply the completion of a course, but another step in their individual learning and entrepreneurial journeys.
Addressing the learners, Dr. Maxwell Ampong said:
“The future is in your hands because the space between Arizona State University, what they do and what others do is so wide that the future is so bright and so promising.
He further added:
“To everybody here who has taken any course under the Najafi 100 Million Learners initiative, I would like to first say congratulations. You have no idea what you have!”
‘Entrepreneur in You’ is a trademarked initiative of the Africa School of Entrepreneurship, established by Maxwell Investments Group, implementation partners supporting the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative in Ghana.
The initiative is designed to bring practical entrepreneurship education closer to aspiring founders, small-business owners, professionals and everyday people with ideas, and to connect more learners in Ghana to opportunities that can help them build, lead and grow.
The message from Accra was clear: access matters, inclusion matters, but ultimately, learning creates its greatest value when people put it into action.
