
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that its passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, is temporarily unavailable due to technical challenges.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, August 25, the Foreign Ministry said the disruption was affecting customers trying to access the platform to apply for passports.
“The website for passport applications, ‘passport.mfa.gov.gh’, is currently experiencing technical issues, and is therefore down, temporarily,” the Ministry stated.
The Foreign Ministry said its technical team is working with the National Signals Bureau to restore the website as quickly as possible.
“Our technical team is feverishly working with the National Signals Bureau to resolve the problem as quickly as possible,” it added.
The Foreign Ministry apologised to members of the public who may have been inconvenienced by the outage.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this issue has caused,” the statement said.
It assured the public that an update would be issued once the technical problem has been resolved.
