The Infinix GT 50 Pro represents a significant upgrade to the company’s gaming smartphone range, introducing active liquid cooling technology and console-inspired controls designed to improve performance during demanding gaming sessions.
Unlike conventional smartphones that depend mainly on passive heat sinks and vapor chambers, the GT 50 Pro features a HydroFlow Active Micro-Pump Liquid Cooling system. The technology uses a piezoelectric ceramic heat pump to circulate coolant through laser-etched microchannels at a rate of 6.5 milliliters per minute.
Its 6,437-square-millimetre diaphragm area reportedly covers all the device’s primary heat-generating components, helping to control temperatures and sustain performance during extended gameplay.
Infinix has also incorporated a transparent pipeline window into the phone’s rear panel, allowing users to see the liquid coolant circulating inside the device. The visible cooling system is complemented by “Mechanical Light Waves” RGB lighting around the window, giving the handset a distinctive gaming appearance.
Another major feature is the introduction of pressure-sensitive GT shoulder triggers integrated into the phone’s frame. The controls support 10 pressure levels, latency below 20 milliseconds and dual-zone button mapping.
Players can assign more than one command to each trigger based on the amount of pressure applied. For example, a light press can be configured to aim, while a full press can fire a weapon, creating a control experience similar to that of a gaming console.
The GT 50 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s 4-nanometre Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
The smartphone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. These specifications are intended to provide smoother gameplay, sharper images and improved visibility in bright environments.
Powering the device is a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging and bypass charging. The bypass function allows electricity to power the phone directly during gaming, reducing the heat and battery strain associated with simultaneous charging and heavy use.
For photography, the handset includes a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
Infinix is also offering the optional GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0. The accessory combines a 12W Peltier cooling system with wireless bypass charging to provide additional temperature control during intensive gaming.
With its active cooling system, visible coolant pipeline and pressure-sensitive shoulder controls, the Infinix GT 50 Pro signals the brand’s effort to provide a more specialized mobile gaming experience.
