President John Dramani Mahama has travelled to Alamein, Egypt, for the Eighth African Union Mid-Year Coordination Summit and the inaugural Alamein Africa Forum.
The engagements, held over the October 3–4 weekend, bring together African leaders, business executives and financial institutions to discuss economic integration, sustainable development and investment partnerships.
According to a statement from the Presidency, Mahama’s program included a keynote address at a plenary session titled “Investing in Health: Manufacturing and Regional Value Chains.”
The address was intended to highlight healthcare’s potential as an economic sector, with opportunities for investment, local manufacturing and stronger production networks across Africa.

The heads-of-state coordination meeting was scheduled for Sunday, October 4, alongside bilateral engagements involving President Mahama.
