President John Dramani Mahama is expected to begin a two-day #ResettingGhana tour of the Volta Region this morning, with a series of engagements aimed at assessing development projects and interacting with residents.

The tour will start in Juapong, where the President will perform the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of eighteen 24-hour Economy Model Markets to be built across all districts in the region.

As part of the visit, President Mahama will tour the Peki College of Education (GOVCO) and the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) at Sokode. He will also inspect ongoing construction works on the Asikuma–Ho road being undertaken under the Big Push Programme and commission the new District Police Headquarters for the Akatsi North District.

Accompanied by Ministers of State, Heads of Institutions and Members of Parliament, the President will further host an educational durbar on the Free Primary Health Care programme to engage stakeholders on the initiative.

On Friday, President Mahama will hold a town hall meeting at Ho Technical University, where he will engage directly with chiefs and residents of the Volta Region. The forum is expected to provide an opportunity for the government to receive feedback on key policy interventions and development projects in the region.

The President is also scheduled to visit the Ho Sports Stadium to assess its current condition and obtain first-hand information on the state of the facility.
