Two people have died and six others were rescued following a road accident at Kwasu, near Bechem, in the Ahafo Region on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters from the Bechem Fire Station received a distress call around 1:45 p.m. and quickly dispatched a seven-member rescue team led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe to the scene.
The accident involved a Toyota Voxy with registration number AS 6403-25, which was extensively damaged.
Two of the occupants were found dead and handed over to the Police, while six others who sustained varying degrees of injury were rescued and transported by the National Ambulance Service to the Bechem Government Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash.
