
A government delegation led by Chief of Staff Mr. Julius Debrah received the remains of the eight individuals who perished in the tragic military helicopter crash in Adansi, Ashanti Region, during a solemn ceremony held Wednesday night at the Air Force Base.
The Ghana Air Force helicopter carrying the remains touched down at exactly 9:30 p.m., where the caskets were formally received in the presence of high-ranking government officials, military personnel, and party executives.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Service Commanders, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Minister of State and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Education, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the President, Ms. Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), Ms. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, and Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Mr. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe.
The somber event marked the beginning of national mourning for the fallen statesmen and service members.
