The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has secured 18,000 coconut seedlings for distribution to farmers across the constituency, her office has announced.
This initiative is part of the MP’s broader agenda to boost agricultural development, strengthen food security, and promote sustainable livelihoods in the area.
The distribution will take place on Thursday, 14th August 2025, at Manso Amenfi, the district capital.
Farmers who have already registered for the programme are encouraged to attend to collect their allocated seedlings. The initiative is also open to new applicants, who are urged to register promptly by sending their full name and the number of seedlings requested via WhatsApp .
Speaking about the project, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe said it is aimed at increasing household incomes and fostering a resilient, agriculture-driven local economy. Seedlings will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure fairness.
Her office is encouraging all interested farmers to register early and take advantage of the opportunity.
