Violyn Baah, the eldest daughter of the late Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo, has taken an active role in managing and promoting Traffic Shawarma, the street-food business established by her mother.
The young entrepreneur, described by her family as the company’s “young CEO,” was recently seen promoting the business on the streets of Kasoa alongside her father, Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of Praye fame.
Videos shared on social media showed Violyn and her father wearing branded Traffic Shawarma shirts while distributing promotional flyers to motorists and pedestrians. Their public marketing campaign attracted praise from social media users, many of whom commended the family for working to preserve Afaglo’s entrepreneurial legacy.
Beverly Afaglo launched Traffic Shawarma in April 2024 as part of her business interests outside acting and television. Following her death in May 2026 after battling cancer, her family decided to continue operating her businesses instead of allowing them to close.
Violyn has since become one of the public faces of the brand, participating in promotional activities and helping to strengthen its presence across its various locations.
The family has also introduced a charitable initiative known as “One Bite, One Cedi, One Cause” as part of efforts to relaunch and expand the business.
Under the campaign, GH¢1 from every shawarma sold will be donated to the Breast Cancer Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The funds are intended to support women receiving treatment for breast cancer.
The initiative combines the family’s determination to sustain Afaglo’s business with a commitment to helping cancer patients, reflecting the personal health challenges she faced before her passing.
Violyn’s involvement has been widely viewed as a tribute to her mother’s resilience and entrepreneurial spirit, with many encouraging the public to support the business and its charitable campaign.
