Media personality Nathan Kwabena Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, has cautioned the public against individuals using the name of Ignite Social Enterprise Limited to promote fraudulent schemes.
Bola Ray, a member of the company’s Global Advisory Board, issued the warning during a webinar for Ghanaian journalists on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. He said the enterprise’s expansion into Ghana and other West African markets had attracted people seeking to exploit its reputation.
“Ignite is not an investment company. We do not take deposits from people,” he stated.
He urged anyone who encounters suspected fraud involving the company’s name to report the matter to the police for investigation and possible prosecution.
Explaining the company’s operations, Bola Ray described Ignite as a product distribution business that does not offer investment packages, guaranteed returns or deposit schemes. He said individuals making such promises in its name were acting without authorization.
He maintained that association with the brand did not permit anyone to disregard its procedures or operate outside Ghanaian law. According to him, the company would support action against people found to be misrepresenting its activities.
Bola Ray also cited cooperation with immigration authorities in Nigeria, saying individuals reported for allegedly misusing Igniter’s name had been apprehended.
He described Ignite as an independently owned enterprise and stressed the importance of assessing its corporate structure rather than drawing conclusions from the previous professional affiliations of people connected to it.
The webinar was organised to explain the company’s business model, products and plans for entrepreneurship in Africa. Bola Ray also announced plans for an Accra office, while emphasizing regulatory compliance, responsible business practices and engagement with stakeholders as the enterprise develops its Ghanaian operations.
