Ghana’s Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has held a policy dialogue with the IMANI Centre for Policy and Education to review developments in the energy sector and discuss priorities for future interventions.
The engagement covered the power, petroleum and renewable energy sectors, with discussions focusing on policy implementation, progress and areas requiring further attention.
Dr. Jinapor described the discussions as “frank and constructive,” highlighting the importance of engaging independent policy institutions in assessing government programmes and informing decisions.
He said collaboration with think tanks such as IMANI provides an opportunity to track interventions, strengthen public accountability and refine policies to meet the sector’s needs.
The dialogue provided a platform for exchanging views on Ghana’s energy priorities and examining how policy decisions translate into practical outcomes.
The engagement reflects an emphasis on consultation between the ministry and independent research organisations as Ghana works towards a more sustainable and resilient energy sector.
