Media personality and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Abeiku Santana, has called on established entertainers to help young creatives turn their talents into lasting careers.
Speaking at the Pete Edochie Legacy Project Gala Night on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Santana said recognition alone was insufficient without practical guidance and support.
“Our young creatives must not only be discovered and celebrated; they must be mentored,” he said.
He stressed that emerging talents need skills, professional networks and protection to develop sustainable careers and businesses. Learning from experienced industry figures, he explained, would help them navigate their own professional journeys.

Paying tribute to veteran Nigerian actor Pete Edochie, Santana described his contribution as a cultural asset whose influence extended beyond acting. He said the actor’s decades of work had already demonstrated the strength of his legacy.
The gala marked the launch of the Pete Edochie Legacy Project, bringing together personalities from the creative industry and other sectors to honor his contribution to African film and storytelling.
Santana encouraged stakeholders to use such celebrations to pass on the knowledge and values of industry pioneers to younger generations.
