Destiny Etiko

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has expressed excitement about joining Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, for his upcoming film, A Journey to Africa (Nzulezu).

Etiko arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, ahead of work on the production, which brings together actors from Ghana and Nigeria.

Speaking to the media upon arrival, she said her expectations extended beyond the film set.

“I’m looking forward to making a good film, having fun, and enjoying some good food,” she said.

The actress also expressed interest in sampling Ghanaian cuisine, joking that the visit would give her an opportunity to judge the longstanding rivalry between Ghanaian and Nigerian jollof rice.

Produced under Lil Win’s Wezzy Empire banner, the project follows his earlier international collaboration, A Country Called Ghana. Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo O. Kanayo and Mike Ezuruonye are among the Nigerian actors reported to be involved in the new production.

The production is expected to include filming at Nzulezu, the stilt settlement in Ghana’s Western Region, bringing the community’s distinctive setting into the story.

For Etiko, the visit offers an opportunity to work with fellow West African performers while experiencing Ghanaian food and hospitality.
