Ghanaian gospel musician Florence Obinim has appeared at a church service hosted by Prophet Ogyaba amid ongoing public attention surrounding her separation from Bishop Daniel Obinim.
A video shared on September 27, 2026, showed Florence singing during a service at Ogyaba’s church and embracing the prophet. A report published on October 30 also described her ministering at his church, although it did not state when that service took place.
The appearance has drawn attention because of a public disagreement between Ogyaba and Bishop Obinim, the founder of International God’s Way Church.
Bishop Obinim’s reconciliation conditions
Bishop Obinim previously said Florence’s association with Ogyaba was an obstacle to a possible reconciliation.
In more recent public remarks, he said he would consider returning to their marital home only if Florence distanced herself from people he regards as enemies. He said he would ask the court for a bond reflecting that condition; the remarks did not establish that a court had imposed one.
The two preachers have also exchanged public criticism during the couple’s marital dispute.
Divorce proceedings
Florence has filed a petition seeking to dissolve the marriage, which began in 2004. The petition alleges that the relationship has broken down because of unreasonable behavior, including alleged infidelity. Her lawyer has also raised concerns about private marital matters being discussed publicly.
Bishop Obinim has said that he moved out of the couple’s home but maintains that their marriage has not been formally dissolved.
Ogyaba has urged Florence and Obinim to exercise restraint in their public comments and consider the wellbeing of their children.
