Organizers of the Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards have officially unveiled the nominees for the 2026 edition, beginning preparations for the scheme’s seventh-anniversary celebration.
The annual awards recognize individuals whose talent, professionalism and contributions continue to advance Ghana’s creative arts and entertainment industry. The ceremony celebrates both prominent personalities and professionals working behind the scenes.
This year’s awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Estees Bee Event Center near the East Legon Underbridge. The red-carpet session will begin at 6:00 p.m., with the main ceremony expected to start at 8:00 p.m.
The competitive list of nominees features several notable creative personalities, including Abena Kyei Boakye, Jeneral Ntatia, Odehyieba Priscilla, Maybel Okyere, Oheneba Jude, Quecyofficial, Kwaku Power, Ama Oduma Odoom, Rosegold and Afia Sikapa.
Founder of the awards scheme, Abena Ghana, said the seventh edition will be held under the theme “Love & Unity,” highlighting the importance of cooperation and stronger relationships within the creative industry.
Rather than introducing additional award categories, organizers maintained the existing structure for the 2026 edition. A specialized jury assessed prospective nominees based on their talent, consistency, professionalism and overall impact on Ghana’s arts and entertainment sector.
The organizers also expressed appreciation to Nana Otafregya Owusu Agyeman, Chief Executive Officer of Time Herbal Mixture, for his continued support of the awards. He has served as headline sponsor for all seven editions since the event was established.
The 2026 ceremony is expected to bring together entertainers, arts professionals, industry stakeholders and supporters to celebrate excellence while promoting greater unity across Ghana’s creative community.
