Ghanaian singer iOna Reine has confirmed that her marriage to Pastor Nana Kwame Okrah has ended, while expressing hope that she will find love again.
The musician, who married in January 2024, addressed her relationship status during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM. She declined to disclose the circumstances surrounding the separation, saying those details were private.
Despite the experience, iOna said she had not ruled out another marriage. She explained that she would be willing to try again, even repeatedly, in her search for a suitable partner.
According to the singer, relationships do not come with guarantees. She noted that lengthy courtships, prayer and efforts to understand a partner do not necessarily prevent a marriage from breaking down.
She also explained why she continues to wear her wedding ring in public, saying it helps discourage unwanted romantic attention rather than signaling that the marriage remains intact.
Alongside speaking about her personal life, iOna has been directing attention to her music career and promoting her latest single, “Break Free.”
“Yes, I’m no longer married. Music is full time now,” she stated in a social media post announcing her renewed focus on music.
