Nollywood actress and politician Doris Ogala has revealed that her marriage ended in 2022 after she experienced more than 10 miscarriages.
Ogala discussed the painful period during an appearance on The Clarity Zone podcast hosted by Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia.
The actress became visibly emotional while reflecting on her pregnancy losses, failed marriage and current relationship status.
“I’m single now. I dated Pastor Chris Okafor from 2017 to 2019 and then I got married, but my marriage still crashed in 2022 because I had over 10 miscarriages,” she said.
Actress Confirms She Is Currently Single
The disclosure followed a question about who would become Abia State’s “first man” if Ogala succeeded in her political ambition to govern the state.
In response, the actress confirmed that she was not currently married before speaking about her previous relationship and marriage.
Ogala said she entered the marriage after her relationship with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, also known as Liberation City.
She attributed the breakdown of the union to the strain associated with experiencing repeated miscarriages.
The actress did not provide further medical details about the pregnancy losses or disclose whether doctors had identified an underlying cause.
Disclosure Reopens Discussion About Pregnancy Loss
Ogala’s revelation has generated reactions from members of the public, with some expressing sympathy over the emotional and physical difficulties associated with recurrent pregnancy loss.

Ogala Pursues Political Ambition
Beyond her career in Nollywood, Ogala is pursuing a governorship bid in Abia State on the platform of the African Action Congress.
She also spoke during the podcast about her previous experience as a special adviser and her plans for political leadership.
Her bid would place her against other candidates seeking to govern the state, including incumbent Governor Alex Otti.
Despite revisiting a painful period in her personal life, Ogala indicated that she remains focused on her professional and political future.
