Nana Konadu Nhyiraba Obeng has won Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2026, becoming the first representative of the Bono Region to claim the crown.
The 20-year-old from Dormaa Ahenkro emerged victorious at the grand finale of the pageant’s 20th Legacy Edition, held at the National Theatre in Accra on October 18. She received GH¢200,000 and an MG ZS Deluxe Edition vehicle among her prizes.

Nana Konadu finished ahead of five other finalists after a competition centred on Ghanaian culture, heritage and community development. Sessinam of the Volta Region placed second, receiving GH¢100,000, while Ashanti Region’s Ampomaa took third place and GH¢50,000.

Ayinboma, representing the Upper East Region, finished fourth, followed by Greater Accra’s Lamiley in fifth and Western North’s Tiwaa in sixth.
A former student of Wesley Girls’ High School, Nana Konadu is currently a Level 400 Communication and Media Studies student at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Her final presentation celebrated Bono history, language and identity while challenging prejudice towards the region’s accent. She encouraged young people to take pride in their origins and resist attempts to judge their abilities by how they speak.
Beyond the crown, Nana Konadu plans to pursue her “Rising Phoenix” project, which proposes economic empowerment and skills development opportunities for single mothers, persons with disabilities and autistic children. The initiative will give her advocacy a practical focus as she begins her reign.
