Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has confirmed that her marriage to fellow actor Frederick Leonard has officially ended following the conclusion of their divorce proceedings.
The actress announced the development through her Instagram Stories, expressing relief and happiness after the legal process was finalized.
Rather than focusing on the end of the relationship, Ovire described the moment as the beginning of a new chapter in her life, sharing the message: “Thank you Jesus. It is done. I’m finally free.”
Following the court’s decision, the actress also updated her social media identity, referring to herself as “Miss Peggy Ovire” — a move many interpreted as a public indication of her transition into a new phase.
From High-Profile Wedding to Divorce
Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard’s relationship attracted significant public attention when the two Nollywood stars got married in a widely celebrated traditional wedding ceremony in Warri, Delta State, in November 2022.
