Nigerian rapper Odumodu Blvck has expressed his hope that his future wife will outlive him, saying he wants her to inherit his wealth and oversee the care of their children.
Speaking on the In Motion Podcast, the artiste said his desire stems from concerns about his family’s future and his belief that his wife should continue what they build together. He explained that leaving his assets in her care would help prevent disputes over their children’s welfare.
“I pray that my wife lives longer than me,” he said.
The rapper linked his views on marriage to his Christian faith, citing the biblical instruction for husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. He said that understanding shapes his belief that a husband should be prepared to make sacrifices for his family.
During the conversation, Odumodu Blvck also compared a woman’s importance in a relationship to the queen in chess, describing it as the most powerful piece on the board.
He further revealed that his girlfriend currently helps him manage his finances because he frequently gives money away. According to him, his generosity reflects the example he received from his mother, but he relies on his partner to help him exercise financial discipline.
His comments outlined his expectations for marriage, with an emphasis on trust, shared responsibility and providing continuity for his future family.
