Presley Gerber, the eldest child of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27.
A publicist for the family confirmed that Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, 2026. His relatives have requested privacy as they mourn what they described as an incredibly painful loss.
Records from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner indicate that Gerber died at Resolutions Living, an addiction rehabilitation and sober-living facility in Santa Monica, California.
Santa Monica police said emergency services responded to a call at the facility at approximately 9:35 a.m. on Sunday. Paramedics pronounced Gerber dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, although authorities have stressed that an official cause has not yet been determined. Investigators have reportedly found no indication of foul play.
An autopsy has been completed, but the medical examiner has deferred the official cause and manner of death while awaiting additional toxicology results.
Born to Crawford and Gerber, Presley entered the fashion industry as a teenager and signed with IMG Models at the age of 15. He later appeared on runways for major fashion houses, including Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Burberry.
He also featured in international advertising campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein and Celine, establishing himself independently within the modelling industry.
Gerber later stepped away from full-time modelling to pursue interests in real estate and entrepreneurship.
In recent years, he spoke openly about his experiences with depression, substance use and addiction recovery. Through a video series titled “Mental Health Mondays,” he used his public platform to discuss mental health challenges and encourage more honest conversations about personal struggles.
Gerber is survived by his parents and his younger sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber. Details of funeral or memorial arrangements have not been publicly announced.
