Smoove Hangout 3.0 ended successfully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, after delivering an engaging mix of competitive gaming, live music, social interaction and professional networking in Accra.
Held at Smoove Studio, located within Nexus Lounge in East Legon, the community-focused event attracted creative young people, tertiary students and professionals seeking opportunities to connect in a relaxed and energetic environment.
The third edition built on the growing reputation of the Smoove Hangout brand as a platform that combines entertainment with youth engagement and community development.
Entertainment Meets Community Building
Smoove Hangout 3.0 was designed to offer more than a conventional party experience. Organisers structured the programme around activities that encouraged participation, collaboration and new social connections.
Attendees were able to interact with people from different educational and professional backgrounds while enjoying music, games, food and other forms of entertainment.
Dedicated networking areas helped bridge the gap between digital creators, student leaders, entrepreneurs and corporate professionals. These spaces created room for conversations about creative projects, career opportunities and possible collaborations.
The informal setting also made it easier for participants to develop relationships without the restrictions commonly associated with formal conferences or business events.
Fahim and Blay Lead Musical Performances
Music formed a major part of the programme, with rising acts Fahim and Blay leading the live performances.
The artistes entertained attendees with energetic mainstage sets, while a rotating lineup of guest DJs maintained the atmosphere throughout the event.
The combination of live performances and DJ sessions helped sustain audience engagement while giving emerging musicians an opportunity to present their work to a youthful audience.
By including rising local performers, the organisers also provided a platform for creative talent and supported the visibility of artistes working to establish themselves within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
Gaming and Interactive Competitions
Competitive and casual gaming featured prominently at Smoove Hangout 3.0.
Participants competed across multiplayer console games, locally familiar board games and trivia challenges. The activities accommodated both experienced gamers and casual participants, ensuring that people with different interests could take part.
Some competitions involved high-stakes matchups, while others focused more on teamwork and social interaction. Corporate-sponsored prizes were awarded to winners during the event.
The gaming sessions became an important source of excitement and friendly competition, complementing the music and networking components of the programme.
Legon Leo Club Supports 2026 Edition
The Legon Leo Club, operating under Lions International District 418, provided organisational support for the 2026 edition.
Its involvement strengthened the event’s community-oriented approach and reflected the organisers’ efforts to work with youth-focused institutions.
Leo Clubs are generally associated with youth leadership, volunteerism and service activities. The partnership therefore aligned with Smoove Hangout’s goal of connecting active young people and encouraging meaningful community relationships.
Local food provider Kenkey Express also supported the gathering by supplying Ghanaian food options to attendees, adding a familiar culinary element to the experience.
Free Entry Expands Community Access
Organisers maintained a free-entry policy for Smoove Hangout 3.0, making the event accessible to a wider audience.
Participants registered through the Tix Africa platform before attending. The digital-registration system helped organisers coordinate entry while ensuring that interested members of the public could join without paying an admission fee.
Removing the ticket cost was central to the event’s community-building strategy. It enabled students, emerging creators and other young people who might otherwise have been excluded by financial barriers to participate.
The open-access model also helped increase attendance, online visibility and engagement with the Smoove brand.
Building the “Smoove” Movement
The event was promoted and managed through the @smoove_network and @smoovehangout digital platforms.
Through these channels, organisers engaged potential attendees, shared event information and continued building an online community around the initiative.
The success of the third edition suggests that Smoove Hangout is developing beyond a single entertainment event into a seasonal youth-engagement platform.
Its mix of gaming, music, networking and brand partnerships gives organisations an opportunity to connect with a highly active youth audience in an interactive setting.
For participants, the platform offers entertainment as well as access to people and ideas that could lead to professional, creative or community-based partnerships.
With three editions completed, Smoove Hangout is positioning itself as one of Accra’s emerging community-centered platforms for youth culture, creative expression and brand activation.
