Timini Egbuson Jokes That YouTube Movies Saved Him From Hunger

Timini Egbuson

Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has admitted that he underestimated YouTube movies, joking that dismissing productions released on the platform could have left him struggling financially.

In a post on X on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the actor reflected on his change of attitude towards the films.

“Can’t believe I was looking down on YouTube movies at some point. Hunger go don kpai me by now,” he wrote, adding laughing emojis.

The Nigerian Pidgin expression humorously suggests that hunger would have overwhelmed him had he maintained his earlier position. His remarks acknowledged the value of opportunities he once regarded less favorably, although he did not disclose earnings or describe any specific financial difficulty.

Egbuson has built a career across television and film, gaining recognition through MTV’s Shuga after an earlier appearance in Tinsel. His film credits include Elevator Baby, Breaded Life, Dinner at My Place and A Tribe Called Judah.

His latest comments suggest that YouTube productions have become a valued part of that career, providing another avenue for acting work alongside cinema and other screen projects.
