Ghanaian singer and songwriter Twitch 4EVA has denied rumours of tension between himself and rapper Kwesi Arthur following the restructuring of the Ground Up Chale music collective.
Speaking about their current relationship, Twitch said the close bond they developed during their early years in the music industry remains intact despite taking different professional paths.
He explained that although they are no longer regularly seen together in public, their reduced appearances should not be interpreted as evidence of hostility or unresolved disagreements.
“We are still brothers. The connection goes beyond just making music together at a point in time,” Twitch stated.
He acknowledged that personal and professional priorities naturally change as musicians mature, but insisted that there was no animosity between them.
“Life happens, people grow, and priorities shift, but there is no animosity,” he added.
Twitch and Kwesi Arthur rose to prominence through Ground Up Chale, a Tema-based music platform that also helped introduce artistes including Quamina MP and Kofi Mole to a wider audience.
The collective became influential within Ghana’s contemporary music scene, creating a platform for young performers to release music, collaborate and build dedicated fan bases.
Twitch explained that artistes often seek greater independence, explore different creative directions and establish their own business structures as their careers develop.
According to him, the decision of former members to pursue separate opportunities does not necessarily mean that their personal relationships have broken down.
He also expressed support for Kwesi Arthur’s international activities and independent releases, saying they continue to wish each other success.
Twitch maintained that the brotherhood formed during their Ground Up Chale years remains stronger than any changes in their business arrangements or musical direction.
