Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Bernice Offei has been found safe and reunited with her family, bringing relief to relatives, colleagues, fans and members of the public who joined an intensive search for the celebrated singer.
The 63-year-old gospel musician, widely known for inspirational songs including “Hold On” and “Life is So Short,” was reported missing after she was last seen on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, around Nyaho-Tamakloe Street in the Agbogba area of Accra.
Her disappearance prompted a widespread public appeal, with her family, media organizations, gospel musicians and social media users sharing information in an effort to locate her.

Concern over Offei’s whereabouts intensified after her family issued a missing-person alert on Wednesday, September 2.

A subsequent “Found Person Notice” confirmed that Offei had been safely located and reunited with her family.
Her family and associates confirmed that the veteran musician was in a safe condition, ending the uncertainty surrounding her whereabouts.
