Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay and comic actor Akrobeto have entertained viewers with a playful German-language exchange during her appearance on UTV’s The Real News.
The encounter saw Akrobeto attempt to converse with the singer in German, setting the stage for a humorous back-and-forth as he struggled to match her responses.
Wendy Shay, who spent part of her childhood in Germany and later trained there as a nurse, appeared comfortable speaking the language. Akrobeto’s attempts to keep the conversation going, however, produced a series of pronunciation struggles and animated reactions.

At one point, the host attempted to express “one year,” prompting amusement as he searched for the right words. His exaggerated delivery and facial expressions added to the comedy, drawing laughter from Wendy Shay.
Clips of the exchange circulated on social media, where viewers shared their amusement at the pair’s interaction and the host’s determined efforts to continue speaking German.
The entertainment extended beyond the language challenge when Akrobeto offered a comic rendition of Bendova, Wendy Shay’s collaboration with Lasmid.
He recreated parts of the song’s melody and rhythm in his own style, earning further laughter from the singer.
The appearance brought together Wendy Shay’s music and Akrobeto’s comic delivery, giving viewers a lively mix of conversation, language mix-ups and an unconventional musical performance.
