An Adentan Circuit Court has remanded a 19-year-old barber, Emmanuel Kwaku Amanor, after he was allegedly involved in a failed armed robbery attempt that left him injured after being accidentally shot by his accomplice.
Amanor, popularly known as “High Sense Price,” was reportedly abandoned at the crime scene by his accomplices after sustaining a gunshot wound during the operation.
Robbery Attempt Turns Into Disaster
According to police prosecutors, Amanor allegedly planned the robbery with two accomplices, Eugene Kwabena Kweisi, also known as Trouble, and Isaiah Kwesi Nartey, also known as Poison.
The group allegedly targeted workers at the Agbogba Junction Filling Station, where they intended to carry out an armed robbery.
Police said that on June 12, 2026, at about 11:00 p.m., the three suspects arrived at the location armed with machetes, knives, and a pump-action gun.
During the confrontation, Kweisi allegedly pointed the firearm but accidentally fired the weapon, hitting Amanor in the thigh.
Realizing that their colleague had been shot, Kweisi and Nartey reportedly fled the scene on an unregistered motorcycle, leaving the injured Amanor behind.
Bystanders later alerted the Ghana Police Service, who arrived at the location, arrested Amanor, and transported him to the Police Hospital for medical treatment.
Court Charges and Proceedings
The case was presented before the Adentan Circuit Court on July 14, 2026, by prosecutor Chief Inspector Jacob Nyarko.
Due to his gunshot injury, Amanor had to be carried into the courtroom. He was charged with:
- Conspiracy to commit robbery
- Attempted robbery
He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The court subsequently remanded him into lawful custody while investigations continue.
Accomplice’s Mother Charged With Harboring Criminal
Also arraigned was Faustina Deyon, an unemployed woman and mother of the runaway suspect Eugene Kwabena Kweisi.
Police charged her with harboring a criminal after investigations allegedly revealed that she lived with Kweisi, was aware of his criminal activities, and advised the remaining suspects to escape following the shooting incident.
Deyon pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail of GH¢100,000 with three sureties.
Police Recover Weapons and Trace Evidence
Following his arrest, Amanor reportedly admitted that the pump-action gun used in the attempted robbery belonged to him.
He also assisted police investigations by leading officers to Asuboi in an effort to locate his accomplices.
Although Kweisi and Nartey remain at large, police conducted a search of Kweisi’s room in the presence of Faustina Deyon and recovered:
- Two machetes
- Three kitchen knives
Investigators also retrieved an Infinix Hot mobile phone allegedly purchased with proceeds from previous robbery activities from Faustina.
Additionally, police seized Nartey’s motorcycle from his residence as part of ongoing investigations.
Police Continue Search for Suspects
The Ghana Police Service is continuing efforts to locate and arrest Kweisi and Nartey, who remain wanted in connection with the alleged robbery attempt.
The Adentan Circuit Court has adjourned the matter to September 14, 2026, for a Case Management Conference as investigations continue.
