Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has become only the second Ghanaian player in Premier League history to record 50 goal contributions.
The 26-year-old reached the milestone during Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Coventry City after providing the assist for Erling Haaland’s winning goal in the 26th minute.
The assist took Semenyo’s Premier League career total to 37 goals and 13 assists across his spells with AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City.
He now joins Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew as the only Ghanaian players to reach at least 50 goal contributions in the history of the English top flight.
Ayew remains ahead of Semenyo on the all-time Ghanaian list, having registered more than 45 goals and 12 assists during his time with Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
However, Semenyo reached the landmark significantly faster, achieving the feat in approximately 100 fewer appearances than the Ghana captain.
Former Leeds United striker Tony Yeboah recorded 24 goals and eight assists in the Premier League, while former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien contributed 17 goals and 11 assists.
Semenyo’s latest achievement follows his outstanding 2025/26 campaign, during which he scored 17 Premier League goals. That tally broke Yeboah’s longstanding record for the most goals scored by a Ghanaian player in a single Premier League season.
Yeboah had held the record after scoring 12 league goals for Leeds United during the 1995/96 campaign.
Although Semenyo is still searching for his first Premier League goal of the 2026/27 season, he has already registered two assists in his opening three appearances for Manchester City.
His latest contribution underlines his growing importance to City and strengthens his position among Ghana’s most productive players in Premier League history.
