The rehabilitation of more than 81 kilometres of roads in 13 communities across the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District has reached 73 per cent completion under the government’s Big Push Programme, with the project expected to be completed by November 2027.
The road project, being executed by Messrs Mo & Mo Company Ltd, commenced in December 2025 and covers a total of 81.3 kilometres of roads. It is aimed at improving transportation, enhancing connectivity and facilitating economic activities across the district.
The rehabilitation works have been divided into three enclaves. In the Essiam enclave, which covers 20.5 kilometres, roads at Essiam Bisease, Essiam Town and Denkyira are being upgraded.
The Ajumako enclave spans 26.8 kilometres and includes roads serving Mando Kromaim, Assasan Essaman, Abrofoa Ampia Attakrom, Assasan and Ajumako. Meanwhile, the Abaasa enclave, covering 34 kilometres, includes roads linking Nsawadze Onyaadze, Abaasa Nkodwo and Abaasa Enyamaim, as well as internal roads within Abaasa and Enyamaim.
The project forms part of the government’s Big Push Programme, a flagship infrastructure initiative designed to improve road networks, strengthen connectivity between communities and stimulate socio-economic growth through strategic investment in critical transport infrastructure.
