Cheltenham Town have completed the signing of promising Leicester City striker Kirsten Otchere on a season-long loan, subject to league approval.
The 19-year-old will spend the entire 2026/27 campaign with the League Two club, where he will continue his development under manager Steve Cotterill at the EV Charger Points Stadium.
Otchere has been part of Leicester’s academy since joining the club at Under-10 level. He has progressed through the youth ranks and established himself as an important attacking player for the Foxes’ development teams.
The English-Ghanaian forward enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 Premier League 2 campaign, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 16 appearances.
He also strengthened his first-team prospects during Leicester’s pre-season preparations. Otchere featured four times and scored three goals, finding the net against Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion and Spanish side Cádiz.
Cheltenham identified the young striker as a player capable of adding speed, energy and another goalscoring option to Cotterill’s attack. The Robins manager praised Otchere’s potential and work ethic as the club prepared for the new season.
The loan is expected to provide Otchere with regular senior football and an opportunity to adjust to the physical and competitive demands of the English Football League.
Leicester will closely monitor his development throughout the campaign, with his performances at Cheltenham likely to influence his future role at the King Power Stadium.
Otchere could be available when Cheltenham begin their season at home against Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup on Saturday, August 8.
