Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has praised the attacking partnership between Mohammed Kudus and Mathys Tel following his side’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace.
Speaking after the match, De Zerbi said the two wingers offer different qualities that complement each other and help Tottenham stretch opposing defenses.
He highlighted their ability to move the ball quickly across the pitch, particularly against teams that sit deep. The manager pointed to situations in which Tel worked the ball from the left towards Kudus at the far post to create scoring opportunities.
De Zerbi said building a strong team requires players with different characteristics. Although both Kudus and Tel have the pace to exploit space, he believes their contrasting styles give Tottenham more options in attack.
Manager Calls for Greater Precision
Despite being pleased with their development, De Zerbi urged his players to be more ruthless and precise in front of goal.
Tottenham recorded 28 shots during the match, and the manager felt they could have made more of the chances created through combinations between the two wingers.
Kudus Helps Spurs to Third Straight Win
The victory was Tottenham’s third consecutive Premier League win. Spurs took control after Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta was sent off early in the first half.
Kudus delivered the corner from which Archie Gray headed Tottenham into the lead. Jan Paul van Hecke added the second goal in the 73rd minute to seal the victory.
The Ghana international was named Player of the Match for his performance.
