Dr. Nana Yaw Adutwum, Head of Research for the United Party, has urged the Ghanaian government to disclose the specific correctional facility where former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Chief Executive Officer Sedina Tamakloe Attionu is being held following her extradition to Ghana.
Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday, June 13, 2026, Dr. Adutwum argued that greater transparency is necessary in a case of significant national interest and that withholding information about her place of incarceration could undermine public confidence in the country’s justice system.

Dr. Adutwum maintained that the public has a legitimate interest in knowing where the former public official is serving her sentence, particularly given the high-profile nature of the case and its implications for Ghana’s anti-corruption efforts.

The court sentenced her to 10 years’ imprisonment with hard labor after finding her guilty of charges related to causing financial loss to the state.

Following her arrival in Accra, Presidential Spokesman Felix Kwakye Ofosu confirmed that Sedina Tamakloe was immediately handed over to personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Prisons Service to begin serving her sentence.
