Emirates will deploy its Airbus A350 on the Dubai–Nairobi route from October 25, 2026, introducing its Premium Economy cabin to Kenya for the first time.
The aircraft will operate flights EK717 and EK718, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER currently assigned to the service. Nairobi will become the 32nd destination served by the airline’s A350 fleet.
The deployment follows Emirates’ introduction of a third daily Nairobi flight in July, increasing its services to the Kenyan capital to 21 each week.
Configured to carry 298 passengers, the A350 offers 32 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats.
Premium Economy passengers will have wider cream leather seats with additional legroom, adjustable leg and headrests, charging points and 13.3-inch entertainment screens.
Business Class features a 1-2-1 seating arrangement, providing every passenger with direct aisle access and a fully flat bed. The Economy cabin includes redesigned interiors, upgraded entertainment screens and enhanced connectivity.
The aircraft upgrade strengthens Emirates’ offering in East Africa, including for passengers travelling through Dubai to destinations in Europe and the United States.
Emirates Country Manager in Kenya, Christophe Leloup, described the deployment as an important development for the airline’s operations in the country, highlighting Kenya’s position as a strong-performing market within its African network.
The introduction of the A350 will give Nairobi passengers an additional cabin option while bringing the airline’s latest onboard products to the route.
