Residents of Trom Dominion City in Koforidua were left in shock on Sunday morning after the lifeless body of a well-known local fashion designer, identified as Isaac Amanor, was discovered under circumstances suspected to involve foul play.
Amanor, believed to be in his late 40s, was a respected tailor who operated a fashion shop near the Koforidua Sports Stadium. His sudden death has sent waves of grief and concern through the local community.
Body Found Near Residential Area
According to residents, Amanor’s body was found near homes in Trom Dominion City, a developing community within the Adweso Town Electoral Area of the New Juaben South Municipality.
Eyewitnesses said the deceased was dressed only in a pair of boxer shorts when he was discovered early Sunday morning.
The circumstances surrounding the discovery have fueled speculation among residents, many of whom believe he may have been killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the area during the night. However, this has not been confirmed by police, and investigations are ongoing.

Assembly Member for the Adweso Town Electoral Area, Samuel Atta Amo, described the incident as deeply disturbing and urged the government and the Ghana Police Service to strengthen security measures in the area.
He called for improvements to road infrastructure, the installation of additional streetlights, and increased police patrols, particularly at night, to help deter criminal activity in the rapidly growing suburb.
According to him, better infrastructure and a stronger security presence are essential to protecting residents and preventing similar incidents.

Police have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding Isaac Amanor’s death.
Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of death or establish a motive, and no arrests have been announced.
