Foxconn recorded a 51.98% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue for August, driven by sustained demand for artificial intelligence servers and related computing infrastructure.
The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, officially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., generated NT$921.77 billion, approximately $29.1 billion, during the month.
The figure represents Foxconn’s highest August revenue on record and its second-highest monthly sales total. It was surpassed only by the NT$946.5 billion reported in the previous month.
August also marked the second consecutive month in which the company’s revenue exceeded NT$900 billion.
Foxconn’s cumulative revenue for the first eight months of the year reached NT$6.51 trillion, equivalent to about $205.3 billion. This represented a 39.73% increase from the same period a year earlier and established a new record for the January-to-August period.
The company’s Cloud Network Products division led the growth as technology companies and global data-center operators continued investing heavily in infrastructure needed to develop and operate artificial intelligence systems.
Strong shipments of AI servers, computing components and server racks for major technology partners, including Nvidia, significantly boosted Foxconn’s performance. Server-related products now account for more than half of the company’s total revenue.
While the cloud and networking division achieved substantial month-on-month growth, Foxconn’s smart consumer electronics and computing product divisions recorded slight sequential declines.
The slowdown was attributed partly to product-cycle transitions among major clients, including Apple, as manufacturers reduced older inventory and prepared for the introduction of new devices during the autumn season.
Foxconn said its third-quarter performance was likely to exceed earlier market expectations. Analysts had projected revenue growth of about 37% for the quarter ending in September, but the company’s current shipment momentum suggests it could outperform that forecast.
Growth is expected to continue during the final months of the year as Foxconn increases production of consumer electronics for the peak shopping season.
The company is also expanding its long-term AI server and rack-manufacturing capacity across facilities in Taiwan, the United States, Mexico and Vietnam.
Sustained investment in data centers and advanced computing by global technology companies is expected to keep Foxconn’s AI infrastructure business at the center of its revenue growth.
