Ghanaian technology entrepreneur De-Graft Osei Kwame Jnr has launched Luupli, a new social media platform designed to offer content creators greater control over their work and improved opportunities to earn income online.
The platform seeks to establish itself as an alternative to major global social media networks by prioritizing transparent monetization, content ownership and community-driven engagement.
As part of its public rollout, popular Ghanaian actor and media personality Kwaku Manu has been unveiled as Luupli’s first Ghanaian global ambassador.
Manu officially signed the ambassadorial agreement during a recent visit to the United Kingdom. The partnership is expected to use his influence in Ghana’s entertainment industry and his strong connection with diaspora audiences to increase awareness and attract early users.
Luupli is positioning itself as a creator-focused digital ecosystem developed to address concerns about compensation and ownership within the rapidly expanding global creator economy.
According to the company, the platform will provide several income-generating options, including transparent revenue sharing, subscriptions, tipping and virtual gifting. These features are intended to help creators build sustainable businesses directly from their audiences.
Luupli also promises to give users greater control over their intellectual property while creating transparent channels through which creators can collaborate with brands.
Another feature of the platform is “Luups,” a tool designed to support collaborative content creation, community participation and authentic storytelling. It is expected to help users develop content for specialized audiences and interest-based communities.
Although Luupli is targeting an international audience, the company says it is registered in Ghana and currently works with local contractors and consultants remotely.
Plans are also underway to establish a physical headquarters in Ghana as part of a wider effort to invest in the country’s growing technology sector and create employment opportunities.
Osei Kwame Jnr believes existing social media platforms do not always provide creators with a fair share of the value generated by their content. Luupli’s model is therefore intended to offer a more transparent relationship between the platform, creators, brands and audiences.
With Kwaku Manu leading its promotional campaign, Luupli hopes to attract creators from Ghana, other underserved markets and diaspora communities searching for new ways to expand their brands and earn sustainable income online.
